I have always enjoyed what are considered “nerdy” activities, long before they were hip and mainstream.  From Star Wars in the 80’s to Star Trek in the 90’s, to D&D in the 2010’s.  I fully embrace my nerdiness these days, and encourage others to do the same.  My educational background is history and theatre.  I’ve taught middle school, worked in box offices, was a registrar at an art college, and numerous retail jobs. I currently own, with my spouse, a small indie bookshop in our pretty cool little town.  I am the mom to a pretty awesome college student, who inherited his nerdyness from both parents. I’m an avid reader and steer towards lighter fiction (mystery and romance) and non-fiction tackling social justice issues.
